What is Raptoraem?

Raptoraem is a nine-book dark fantasy epic set in a drowned, mythpunk city clawing its way to sovereignty. It’s a saga of rebellion, magic, and survival—where freedom costs blood, and even magic comes at a price.

HOW DO YOU SAY RAPTORAEM?

Raptoraem — RAP-tor-æm (ˈræp.tɔːr.aɛm)

æ = the “a” sound, like in cat or ash.

Flow: two and a half beats, clipped and sharp: RAP-tor-æm.

WHAT DOES RAPTORAEM MEAN?

Raptoraem was built to sound Latinate—imperial, hard, like something from an archaic law code. But the root ‘raem’ is Arabic, meaning ‘loving mother.’ So the name holds a paradox: a city that looks like a predator’s nest but still shelters its people; both wound and womb.
